PROTOTYPE HANDOFF

Build Walter in service groups.

33 modeled parts means 20 printed pieces plus 13 electronics models. Aim for five manageable service groups: face, rear cover, electronics rack, base and ears.

20 enclosure pieces · 33 physical models
230.6 × 212 × 366.2 mm overall
Battery and case fan unselected

What to do next

Choose and measure the power system; verify actual plugs and fasteners; finish removable mounts and wiring; then refine the smooth outer surfaces around those proven internals. Small fit coupons and an open rack come before a finished shell.

Detailed build sequence ↗

The base, upper/lower rack, split crowns, front/rear shells and ear grilles separate for access. Internal electronics remain at their modeled dimensions.

What still needs completion

Actual connector sizes and cable routing; selected power system; component-specific retention; screw access and engagement; touch cartridge and rear blank retention; print compensation and finish; closed-case thermal and electrical testing.

The curved outer shell is development geometry. Nominal wall allowances are radial, and the crown has a solid top cap. Slicer thickness/support review and refinement of exposed base mounting features remain necessary.

IMU and touch-controller shapes reserve space only. No printer mechanism, paper roll, battery or case fan has been selected or fitted by claim.

Validation scope

All 20 enclosure meshes are watertight and single connected bodies. The 33 physical meshes have no reported nominal intersections above 0.1 mm³. All 16 reserved volumes clear physical components under the documented host-contact exclusions. This does not certify minimum gaps or actual plug fit.

The heat/power model is a preliminary comparison with editable assumptions. It is not CFD, stress analysis or a battery/circuit validation. First-fit coupons and the open rack should be tested with actual parts before a full closed-shell order.
